Our pump cord got fried yesterday, probably by water getting in the extension cord. We have a salt water generator and the pump plugs into it , but it is a little too far for the 6 foot cord on the pump to reach so we used an extension cord. BAD IDEA. Can we get a longer cord from Hayward or a hardware store? I guess we could move the generator closer to the pump, but it is convienent where it is. Any suggestions? Is it ok to use, say a 12 foot cord on the pump?
