1.02ft2 Sand Filter vs. 1.44ft2 Sand Filter

Hooking up the plumbing for our new Bestways 9 x 18 and have a sand filter question.

I ordered the Intex 3000 gallon pump/sand filter combo. It lists a 1.44ft2 sand filter

The pool came with a sand filter that lists 1.02ft2 sand filter.

I cannot find listings for the hp of the pumps. What is the real difference between the filter sizes? I know that bigger is always better, just curious if .42 square feet will really make a noticeable difference between the two.

    Thanks guys!

Well it is a 40% difference, so that is pretty significant if you paid for the larger one.
