I just set up a swimming pool - 4' deep 15' diam. roung. I finished filling it with tap water. Should I shock it immediately or what other initial treatment should I do?

I think somehow this thread got hidden while we were having some forum issues the past week so I deeply apologize that we have not gotten back with you!
What have you done with the pool since you posted this? What kind of chemicals have you added, just chlorine or anything else? What are you using to test the water currently? Sorry for all of the questions but we would love to help you make sure you are going in the right direction with your pool and help you prevent any problems from arising going forward.
