Suction side leak

Hi all

Anyone know whether i can break this joining apart, samd out the glue and re-apply? I need to keep the grey adaptors....

PVC joints are meant to be permanent.

You could cut the pump and use a ram bit to drill out the grey fitting so you can reuse it ... although you would have to get that valve and elbow out of the way.

What is the adapter for? Might be alternatives.

The adaptor is to connect a 50 mm metric pipe (european) to standard 2" north american pipe

Yes, you can repair it The first issue is which side of the 2 pipes is leaking? If its the gray pipe it's problematic because you would need to ram bit it out, a tough job. If the pvc coupling is the issue you can cut it out an d replumb there. There are 2" pipe extender fittings available that fit inside 2" pipe. Also, the Jandy valve you have can use a 2 1/2 elbow on the outside so that can be used. 2 1/2" elbow, 2 1/2" x 2" reducer, 2" pipe extender: A precise job but can be done
