Above ground pool robot cleaner question

Hey folks,

We are a mere four months away from swimming here in Manitoba, :lol: and we are looking for a robot cleaner.

Can we use an inground cleaner like the aquabot turbo in our AGP?

Most of the robotic inground cleaners are a bit "overkill" for an AGP, and they are large and heavy. I'd look at the Pool Rover Junior, and even the Nitro. Good Luck!

We use the "Zippy" by Barracuda. Got it last year and so far we like it. Our other one was the "Polaris" and it sucked ! The Zippy hooks to your return and does a good job of getting junk up off the pool floor. We ordered it off line and had it shipped to the house. I think there was like a $60.00 dollar difference (lower) than our local PS

We are looking at the Nitro and I think that will be the robot working in our pool this year.

Will the Nitro function properly in an above ground pool? I have read it is for in ground pools. I was told by a local pool store that it did not function properly in an above ground pool because the liner caused it to constantly try to climb up the walls.

Has anyone used for an above ground pool with good experiences?

I previously had a Pool Rover that only lasted 14 months and was looking for a good replacement.

Actually, the Robo-Kleen is the Smartpool aboveground cleaner. Much like it's cousin the Nitro, but for A/G.
