Hi all you pool owners!! I am in desperate need of help getting the chemicals right in my pool. I am trying to decipher all the posts here and all the initials for procedures. lol right now my question is does anyone use a floatron? several of my friends have said they use this and I dont have a clue what it is or what it does. thanks!

I had to reach out to Mr. Google and it told me floatron Ina solar powered ionizer. Skip it, gimmick.
You need a good test kit and a visit to Pool School.

Agree, skip the floatron, I've also never heard of it.
+1 on getting one of the Recommended Test Kits, I use the TF100 from TFTestkits.net.

Welcome fellow Louisiana resident. You have come to the right place for pool care. As Tim stated above you will need a good test kit and you need to read, re read, and then read pool school again. I was lost until I found this site.good luck and welcome to the forum. We have a lot of Louisianians here. You should update your signature with your pump model and filter type.
