New Spa, Brown/Yellow Water

Just started a new 350 gallon spa.
Ph was high, 8.2 brought it down to 7.2
Alk was at 80 holding strong.
Added my Chlorine and I was at a 2 - 3
Went to bed, and this morning I woke up to a brown/yellow spa with a ring of what looks like a rust colored dirt.
Whipped that off and took a water sample to my local store.
Everything looks good but she thinks I have metals.
Added the correct dosage of Metal Free (Leslie's)
I have been running and rinsing my Filter for the past 6 hours.
My filter is getting rust colored.

Is this metals? Or am I wasting my time and money?
How long does this process usually take.

P.S. I am on Well Water, but i do have a 2 stage filtration system.

Any advise would be awesome.

Metal Free is designed to bind to and precipitate the metal so that it gets caught in the filter. Since spa circulation is pretty fast I'd expect it to clear within a day. You will need to clean the filter and may need to add more Metal Free. You could consider using a pre-filter attached to your hose when filling as another alternative to getting the iron out.
