    confused about fittings

I have a marada 18x33 I had them install hard piping I bought a pool fountain for the return to replace the rubber elbow that came with the pool.

the fittings are 1-1/2 I knew I might need and adapter, but the screw on flange that holds the rubber elbow on the return is not 1-1/2 or 1-1/4 or 1x2 is it metric the installers put the hard piping

in I can't find anything at lowes that fits I want to change this return to the shower

Is there any way you can post a picture of everything you are describing for the readers to see? Sometimes, a pic is worth a thousand words. Have you tried linking your photos from Photobucket? That's what many of us do here on TFP. Upload your pics to Photobucket (free), then copy & paste the IMG code for that pic from Photobucket to your TFP post. Works great.
