Yes he is a swimmer. Full fledged Bird dog and retrieving. Plaster hopefully end of next week or maybe following week. We have party planned August 1st!

Next weekend begins vacation week! So hope the pool start up and chemistry will be right and ready for us. This has been interesting doing a build for our (eventually) permanent home so far away but our college age daughter sure is excited to get to finish college in a home with a pool soon to be done! Spoiled!

Its level - Thank goodness. Finally finished filling this morning now to finish mastic and and start chemical process. I have to say I really like the color even before chemicals which will probably change it and how it cures over time.

That is a pretty water color! SO neat how the steps and tanning ledge look so different from the bottom.

A few weeks in now so thinking about finishing landscape this fall. What do you think of this: back of home faces west and pool steps are directly out and off of back door patio.
- little Gem Magnolia tree back side of pool northwest corner about 10 feet from pool
- Chinese Pistache tree back side of pool southwest corner about 15-20 feet from pool - really nice fall colors and may help some shade support in ~15 years.[emoji29]
- flagstone step stones backside edge of pool with mondo grass between to link patio together.
- flagstone step stone off of patio to pool equipment
- direct backside center of pool 5-8ft from pool maybe 2-3 sago palms or Japanese jupons?
- 3 or 4 purple fountain grass back center as well.

I like your ideas! BUT I do not know the tress you talked about. Think about leaves dropping and pool clean up.
