    Fiberglass over concrete block pools????

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with pools where you lay concrete blocks to get your walls and pour concrete floors and then hand lay fiberglass over the blocks and then gelcoat them? There is a guy that is about 3 hours from me that does that and it seems like a very neat way to do pools. We are in the excavation/plumbing/building business and are looking at this vs a inground pool kit with the vinyl liner and steel or polymer walls.

    Welcome Sam!

Sorry to say I don't know really. It seems a popular question this year however, or very similar in that others have asked about something like this, or for repairs. Hopefully someone will weigh in with solid info. Enjoy the forum!

Its kind of an outside the box approach, but Im not sure of the poolcrete bottoms in doing the kit pools, I know there are thousands in the ground but just seems like concrete and the fiberglass would be stronger
