Hubby has finally agreed to get rid of my solar heater for a propane heater!!! we are looking at the pentair MasterTemp® 125 125btu or the RayPak 156A 150,000 BTU. I just got a guy to come and quote me on propane tank rental, price etc etc. I'm so excited!!!

My question is if u had the choice which one would u get?

Bigger is better. It's BTU/hr. So twice as big a heater will heat the pool in half the time.

That will be plenty of heater for that pool. Probably get almost 3 deg/hr of temp rise.

You might consider keeping the solar arc even with the heater. You can use the heater to warm up the water and the arc should help replace some of the heat lost to evaporation to maintain the warmer temp. Just pipe the arc U/S of the heater and you're set. Only downside is that you heater temp will read the temperature of the water leaving the arc and not that of the pool.

Go for the Raypak but get a 200,000 BTU unit. You'll be a lot happier and it's not that much more in cost.
