Travertine pool coping

Tumbled vs. Honed. Are there any pro's or con's to either or is it just purely personal preference?

Personal preference.

Filled or not filled is the other travertine choice.
Filled is more an indoor choice to prevent dirt collection.

I was worried that the rougher texture combined with SWG would cause excellerated breakdown of the Travertine.

I'm a bleach dumper, so I would not be able to comment.
If you plan to seal the coping, then honed might be better.
I have you to look at the various sealing options for my tumbled field with honed coping.

We have tumbled / honed, not filled and a SWG. With any travertine by a SW pool, you are going to need to seal properly right away. Correctly sealed (routinely), SW should not be an issue for the stone.
