Air shooting out my jet into the pool

It looks like air is shooting out of my jet going into my pool. I think it is air. Anyway, the water going back into the pool from the filter is white with a cloudy look. Why is this happing. I have tried backwashing, rinsing, and opening the air bleeder when I put the filter back in to the filter mode. The water coming out of the jet is cloudy.

Sounds like you have a leak and our sucking air somewhere

Pool level ok. No gasping from the skimmer

I did just vac. the pool in the waste mode to keep crude from going through filter sand. The water was a little low and I did hear a sucking noise in the skimmer. Will this clear up on its own or do I need to do something.

If you here a "sucking sound" in the skimmer it means your water level is too low. Add enough water to come half way up the skimmer opening. There may be indicator marks on the skimmer face that indicate the proper level.

Thanks to you all for the help. It is that my pool water level was too low. I have the water up and I backwashed and all is well.
