Low water shutoff switch

Hi Everyone,

I recently had a hose break on my filter that caused me to lose a bunch of water while away from my home. This led to the pump running dry for an undetermined amount of time. Luckily it seems to be okay but I’d like to avoid this scenario in the future. I know they sell automatic fillers but that wouldn’t do much good if a hose bursts. I’ve seen some low water shutoff switches online for ponds (Low Water Shut Off Switches) but I’m not sure if anyone’s ever tried anything like this for a pool. Maybe it’s just a matter of verifying they could handle the power running to the pump.

Opinions? Suggestions? (Obviously switching to hard plumbing would alleviate much of the risk of this happening again. ;) )

Thanks!
