Pentair Dynamo 1.5 hp Pump Leak

This is the same problem I am having. I just bought the pump and filter system two days ago and when i hooked it up for the very first time it is leaking. I don't think it should be leaking when I just bought it. Should I have tightened it before running it for the first time?

You shouldn't have to tighten it before hooking it up. I'd call the place you got it from and see what they say about it?

Having said that, it's pretty easy to replace the o-ring on the connection between the casing and basket housing.
