I was reading through the manual that came with our pool, it says very little about how to use the pump, but it does say that we cannot run the pump while the pool is in use. I have read a few articles on here that say some people run their pumps 24 hours a day....obviously that wouldn't work if we can't use the pump while we are swimming LOL. Also, we purchased a SWG to run with our pump....doesn't that need to run for several hours a day also?

For liability reasons, I am not suggesting you do this, but I will only tell you what I do.
I have had numerous Intex pools over the last ten years, and we almost always run the pumps and SWG while we swim. My wife and I like to lay on floats and let the circulation in the pool slowly rotisserie us while we tan.

Bahaha okay thank you! Hubby told me to quit worrying about everything and just enjoy the pool, so that's what I plan to do today lol!
