Why don't they

Why don't they make a straight all chlorine
puck without cyanuric acid? It would be nice for
vacation trips long weekends and no worry about adding more cyanuric

As stated in the many many threads that ask the same thing ... It would defy the laws of chemistry. Pure chlorine is a gas at room temperature.

The cyanuric acid is what makes the tabs take so long to dissolve. They do make a calcium hypo tab but it turns to jelly and dissolves very quickly and pretty much useless for a tablet. It would be nice though and would probably make trichlor tabs extinct.
