I have a 4 year old Diver Dave cleaner that I use with limited success in my old 18' Intex pool. We had the power to run him with the Waterway sand filter we had and I believe he would have been much better if the pool floor was flat and wrinkle free.(floor was a lumpy mess due to moist ground under)

My question is should I keep using it in my new pool or get something else.
I did buy brand new shoes for him.
My new pool was professionally installed with a flat wrinkle free bottom

I have the equivalent in Wanda the Whale and she does a fine job. I think you will find that "Dan" does a much better job in your new pool because the pump is probably stronger than it was in your Intex pool.
