Reading past input, it appears EcoStar has the edge over IntelliFlo. I'm replacing my pump but found recent negatives in posts to Leslie's re. Hayward's EcoStar failing within months of install (multiple error messages requiring manual re-set, "fried" drive, motherboard falling apart, etc.). Any input regarding recent reliability of EcoStar is appreciated.

I love my intelliflo VSpump, I will buy another one the day mine quits. I have no experience with the Ecostar.
The EcoStar is a reliable pump and as with any product has been improved since inception.
