View attachment 38004Removed Elephant cover with a brown muck pond, after 3 bottles of $2 bleach and a box of Borax ($4), and a diesel fuel filter from McCann (2 for $6) I am on the mark and swimming in crystal clear water.

NEVER go to the pool store for chemicals again!

hi, your pool was brown? and only took 3 bottles of bleach? sounds like you just shocked it, which kills off some algae but it will come back. did you do a full SLAM??

It is a DYI Slimebag, there is a link for the piece and setup here (SlimeBag for 1/10 of the price, yes you can!!)

I used to buy these from Slimebag for up to $75 a piece. For $6 is the exact same material and construction, works like a charm.

It is a 14,000 gallon pool, so 3 gallons brough the FC to 15ppm, and it held for almost a week at +8ppm. The brown was basically pollen buds and crunched up leaves that got through the Elephant cover.
