What pump and filter size it is necesary for a 21,500 gallons in ground pool with 45 feet of 1 1/2" return line and 25 feet of 1 1/2" suction line? Room equipment is is located 9 feet below pool water level at the maximun pool depth of 6 feet.
Not 100% sure about the pump sizing given the "depth" of the pool equipment.
But likely a 1HP pump would be sufficient ... not sure if a 2-speed of VS pump would make sense given the required 9' rise.
What kind of filter are you looking for? Pool School - Pool Filter Comparison
For minimum filter sizes I would suggest:
325 sqft cartridge or
27" diameter sand or
60 sqft DE
The depth of the pool equipment really doesn't have an impact on the pump performance in this case. If anything it makes priming easier so you could use an AG pump if you wanted to. However, like an AG pool, you need isolation valves so you can open the pump basket.
