Regular LED bulb for Pool Light

Hi all,
I am New to the community and my first question here.
I have my pool light bulb out so thought of trying regular home LED bulb as both are 120V. Home LED will be of much less wattage then the previous pool bulb.
Has anyone else tried it or see any problem with it ?

Welcome to TFP!!!

The regular bulb may not handle the enclosed space very well if it gets too hot.

Although I think some members have tried it.

Thank you for the quick response.
I agree as Home LED is smaller so less heat transfer, but i noticed a coil/spring by the bulb which i assume for measuring inside temperature and trip the breaker in case of overheat.
