CYA dissolving too quickly?

I have granular CYA that I have been putting in a sock and then in my skimmer basket. I put in about 15 oz. of granular CYA last night and this morning it was completely dissolved. Is this normal?

I remember reading that it could take up to two weeks for CYA to dissolve using the sock method.

doesn't sound unreasonable for less than a pound. it usually takes me a day or two. It takes a week for it to show up on the test though, maybe that's what you are thinking.

There is a lot of variation from pool to pool. The one week recommendation is worst case to avoid people adding more and overdosing before the first dose has dissolved.
