Hayward Check Valve Broke Off and Rattling Around

Greetings fellow TFP'ers.... I've got a Hayward Check Valve (ECX4077B1) rattling around my filter right now. I've got the replacement on order and am waiting for its arrival to replace. While waiting for the replacement any chance that the weight I hear rattling around when the filter is running causing any damage? Everything is functional and the pool is crystal clear hence the cold beer in my hand. Thanks. Hope everyone is having a good season so far.

Why would you not open the filter now and get the part out? You have to eventually ...
