Leak from PVC piping at Joint

Hi I am new to the site. I noticed a small leak where the PVC pipe screws into another pipe from the strainer. Any ideas on how to take care of this ?

Got a picture? Is it on the pump? It's unusual to have a screwed fitting anywhere besides the pump and filter. Depending on where it is you can get a union, cut the pipe, fix it, then install the union.
