Yesterday my polaris pool pump stopped working. It is wired to a timer . The timer appeared to stop working ( it would keep time) I replaced the timer today. No change. thought maybe the pump was bad. replaced the pump with a new pump. It did not work I have 120v going to the pump. The timer is still not working. The switch is on. Any thoughts? could the new pump be bad? I am having a hard time trying to figure out why the timer isn't working. I believe that is the problem. But I also don't understand why the pump isn't running with power to it>

Welcome to TFP!!!From your description it is unclear what is going on since you keep talking about timers and pumps and cleaners.
Does the timer have power? Is it keeping time?
Is there power at the pump?
If you know how to check electric power. Open the back of the cleaner pump and turn on pump. If there is power a the wires where the connect to the pump the problem is the pump. If no power it is the timer.
