So our deck build is almost complete (we hired it out). The boards come just below the railing. I've read lots of posts about decks even, above or below railings. We would like to try and build a "seating" area that attaches to the deck but is removable (if pool liner needs change) that goes over the railing so people can sit at edge without sitting on railing. I vaguely remember seeing someone build something like that here? Trying to coime up with a way to have a cantilever seat area. I'm wondring about using metal brackets, or maybe a wood angled beam below seat..does anyone have any ideas?
