My pool builder wired my pump with a GFCI. The circuit trips very randomly and I was told by other people in the industry that it should not have a GFCI as with a variable speed pump it can trip the circuit when the pump speeds up. I have asked others and get answers both ways. The pump is a Jandy JEP2.0 and is just under 2 years old.
If it is suppose to have a GFCI does anyone have an idea why it trips randomly? It trips probably one or two times a month with no pattern that I can figure out.
