Polaris 480

Hi. Just bought a house with my first pool. It was green, but is now clear and inviting. Question is, it came with a Polaris 480 vac, that I see has been discontinued. Seems to work fine, besides missing the bag, can anyone tell me why it's been discontinued? Can't find any info on it.

the 480 was replaced with the newer Polaris 3900.
