DE COming through return. New filter recommendations?

Tried to start up the pool today. DE came right back in through the returns.
We have a Sequel II filter, and a brand new White River pump, 1 hp.
We degreased and cleaned the filter grids today and didn't notice any holes. Maybe they are getting old at 11 years??

It's kinda crunch time, since we are uncovered now. Need to get the chlorine flowing and filtering started.

Hate taking that Sequel II apart. There are about 20 bolts around the top. It's a pain! But I think we need to start there to see if things aren't seated right.
Could it be the valve on the top??

Sorry you have not gotten any quicker responses.

I have never heard of either of those brands of pool equipment.

DE getting to the pool is either a problem in the filter with the grids or it could be a problem with the seals in the backwash valve.
