milky wisps in pool

Hello,

I have a 15,000 gallon indoor pool. The water is pretty well balanced except perhaps the TA which is running around 100-110 ppm. The water is clear to the bottom. My problem is that I have some cloudiness in the form of milky, thread like wisps floating near the surface. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum. It would be a big help if you could post a complete set of test results, along with what chemicals you use to sanitize your pool.

Thanks John,

Last Test Results

FC 4.9
TC 4.9
pH 7.7
Hardness 294
TA 110
CYA 70
Copper .3
Iron .2

I am using HTH Products 3" Hypo Tablets
Super Sockit shock.

Someone accidently switched to Trichlor several months ago, CYA was over 100. We drained 1/2 the pool and went back to Hypo. This is by the way a condo pool.

Thanks,

Paul
