CH for Vinyl pool

I know the level doesnt matter for the pool as far as CH goes, but is there a min or max as far as equipment is concerned? Mine is at 75 and my buddy who just received his TF100 kit tested at 350. The pool store tested him at 150 2 weeks ago and had him dump 45lbs in the pool. I told him thats exactly why i had him buy the kit.

Once you start getting into the 300ish range with CH pH becomes more importNt to keep scale from forming. The only reason to sell CH to a vinyl pool owner is to put money in the cash register.

nope, it's wonderful. Go,to the pool store and they are going to try to sell you calcium to "protect your liner".
