I recently replaced the control board to fix an ignition problem. It worked but, There's a flame coming out from the tray up the inter side of the access opening.
Is this caused by a hole in the gas header feeding the burners? It's on the right corner (facing the unit), just above the pilot (not the pilot).
This heater is 3 years old and not rusted, although it does look like the weld joints holding the header to the bracket (still on the right hand side) may have pulled off the header. ***, how does that happen?? Not so good luck with this heater.
