I'm ground pool has been closed all winter. I'm going to be opening soon but how much chlorine do I add if I don't know the cya? Doesn't the pump have to be running for a certain amount of time before I can't test for cya
I would definitely check that CYA now so you can get started. Do you have your own (TFP-recommended) test kit to check CYA? Feel free to post all of your numbers so others can review and assist as needed if you would like.
Busy the water has been sitting for so long? I guess I ll take a sample and goto pool store. ( even tho I don't wanna put my arm in that gross water lol)
Sounds like you first step needs to be investing in one of the Recommended Test Kits ... having the pool store test your water is a sure fire way to spend $ and not make progress.
