new pool light?

I am having my liner replaced and for years now 1 of my pool light were damaged, I have not been able to find any replacement parts and was wondering, should I cover it up with the new liner on try and replace the light?

We rarely use the lights and the one light seems sufficient.

Others may have different thoughts, but nothing wrong with simplifying when you can.
