Replacing sand filter

I have a 24,000 gallon pool. Shallow end I think is 3ft, deep end is 8ft. My piping is 1.5 inch, pool pump is 1hp, I have two returns and one skimmer. I am looking at a sand filter that flows 60gpm and another that flows 75gpm. Which should I go with?

What is wrong with your existing sand filter?

We generally do not look at the maximum flow rates ... more important to look at the diameter / surface area.

spitting out sand, multiport gasket is leaking, can't buy the gasket have to buy the whole multiport, that is $140ish. I'm putting the house up for sale so I'd rather just replace the sand filter as a whole. I stay travel so I need the sand filter to work. I don't have time to troubleshoot it and replace parts.
