chlorine spoon turned black?

The spoon to get the powder out for my 2006-k has turned black, like its burnt....I still test ok, but wonder what thats about...this is my first time with the kits.

They do that with that powder unfortunately. Its no problem, just looks terrible.

If you're like me and just want to see it clean (even though the black is harmless) you can clean it with some MA. Diluted 3:1 should do it. This will also clean your chlorine testing vial/cup if it is starting to darken.

The powder itself will start to darken with time too, this is normal
