Heater on and white water out

i turned the heater on and kids are in pool this is the first time of the year. white water is coming from the returns. am i poisoning the kids. help?

Based on a comment you made in another thread about dumping some magic elixir into your pool we have no idea as to what is causing that. As Poolesq said, could be bubbles in the water. It also could be a reaction to the heat from the unknown stuff you dumped in. As to poisoning the kids...hard to know, I doubt it, but again we don't know what you are using in your water. Please go to the Pool School tab and start reading there to have a better understanding of what is going on in your pool. Also, you will notice that almost all posters here have a signature line at the bottom of their posts that have at least a basic amount of info on their pools. This helps us immensely when trying to diagnose certain problems

Colud be calcium build up in your heat exchanger.
