Hired a new company to close the pool last year. I had a heck of a time finding where they placed the drain plug to the heater, but I finally found it. I put teflon tape around the threads and screwed it in. Once the pool was fired up, water started pouring out where the drain plug is installed. The plug is from a Raypak 266A heater. Does anyone know if this plug is supposed to have a gasket on it, or any idea why it is leaking? It is two years old and has never leaked. Really appreciate your help, as I can run the filter this leak.

Yes looks like you are missing the o-ring. Here is what the plug should look like.View attachment 37258

It probably came off and was washed away when they took it out. YOu should be able to find something very close at one of the big box home improvement stores.
