Hey guys and gals, just a new guy to the pool ownership thing, wanted to say hello. I've read through a ton of information on here, and am fairly confident I wont have much trouble maintaining my own pool. My pool was just finished 2 months ago, and the company I was using to do my chemicals was doing a pretty poor job, so I decided to fire them and do it myself. It doesnt seem such a daunting task after reading on this forum for the last few days. I have ordered my TF100 test kit, and for this past week, I was using the local Pinch-A-Penny to get my readings. As of today, I'm pretty close to spot on with the chemicals, but I am so glad I found this site to help me learn the proper way to upkeep my pool for the next 30 years!

I can't speak for other new members, but I guess I figured if i spent that much money to build a pool, I might as well spend some time learning about it lol. I'm a member of many other forums, and believe me, I know the most important thing to do is learn. THEN you can ask questions. The biggest learning curve is with all the abbreviations. I constantly find myself looking them up so I can understand what I read lol
