I am in process of getting a new liner placed in our in ground pool. we just moved into the home. the existing steps leading into the pool are about 20 yrs old. never painted or damaged. they are fiberglass and are white in color. we want to paint them while the pool is emptied of water. we need information regarding paint and primer. at the same time we want to repaint of fiberglass slide. the legs were removed and need to replace them. can I use the same paint primer for the slide as for the steps? thanks

Fiberglass can be tricky. Gel-coat paint is the best to use but the surface must be meticulously prepared. If you wan't it done properly with a professional finish, you might be better served asking at a boat or marine shop that has the proper tools at their disposal.
As mentioned, definitely consult your local marine supply house and inquire what brand of paint they use for boats.
