Currently installing a hayward widemouth skimmer onto a curved section of a pool. The skimmer mouth is not curved, but the pool wall is... I'll actually be tightening this until it flattens the pool wall around it, correct? I shouldn't expect any visible gaps around the skimmer on the outside of the pool, right?

Mine is rectangular so can't comment, but there are a ton of Hayward skimmer install threads here with round pools. Good luck!

Success with installation depends on how curved the section is at that point. If it is like a round pool no problem. Otherwise it could be a problem.
