I found 2 pool companys i feel comfortable with now ,one does the walls in steel the other in concrete, price is almost the same either way.which would you go with and y .im leaning towards the concrete
I would like the concrete mosty because of corrosion issues. I know steel can be treated to where it will not rust in many years and may last the life of the pool but concrete will remain until you tear it out. Just my 2 cents, lol.
(Assuming this is a vinyl lined pool). My initial thought is to go with steel, as concrete always worries me with settling and cracking. Other than potential long term corrosion, what are the other downsides of steel?
Yes its a vinyl liner pool with vermiculite /concrete bottom (not sure what that is is it vermicultie or poured concrete? )pools gonna be a a roman endend rectangke 40x18 .

The bottom will be a blend of vermiculite and portland cement rather than a poured concrete bottom. You end up with a base that feels solid, has a smooth finish, and is flexible, so that it does not crack or settle like a poured concrete driveway would.
