INTEX Easy Set ...HELP???

I have had these pools for many yrs. and using a skimmer. Bought the 18x48 and came with 2 (new) intake hoses rather than 1. NOW...there isn't enough suction to operate either the old skimmer or the newer deluxe version that I also purchased. HELP???
Do I remove 1 of the extra intake hoses??

Do you have a plunger valve(s) you can use to close one of them off? Or get a bigger pump, if you're using the one that came with the pool. The Intec pump/sand filter combos are a nice upgrade.
