    what is the highest FC level in which it is safe to swim?

    Is it safe to swim while SLAMing the pool?
    AG, 12 x 24 ft oval, 7700 gal, sand filter

    No - it is safe to swim as long as you are below SLAM level for your CYA level.

    your answer appears to include both yes and no responses to the question
    Is it safe to swim if the pool is at the SLAM FC level for the CYA level?

    it is safe to swim if FC is < 40% of the CYA level AND you can see the bottom of the pool.

    Search this site and you will see it repeated over and over. If you are BELOW SLAM level as i said. So if your level for your CYA is 20 you can swim up to 19 and so on.

    BUT, you dont want to be swimming if you are slamming and you cant see the bottom....Or if it just looks nasty cloudy in there. At least I wouldnt swim in that.
