my filter has plenty of pressure but I am concerned that you can still bump it while the pump is on, then when it is off you can tell that when bumping it , it is not working correctly.

You should not be able to bump it when it is on.

yes, when you are to bump it when it needs cleaned, the handle should have a little pressure on it, not just bouncing up and down, I have had it for years. but was wondering if it might be missing the little metal clips inside the lid, I can not remember if it takes two and if so where they go
