Main drain possible leak

Hey guys

I havnt been able to find a forum relating to this specific issue I may be having. I have a 21' x 52" dual main drain agp. In going to be installing a new liner this Thursday (hopefully) I have no water in the pool at this time and the old liner is almost all removed. Over the winter, the water level dropped and shredded the liner. At first I thought it was the liner leaking but now I'm beginning to think it was the main drain that cracked. Is there a way without hiring a plumber with a scope to check to see if there is a leak? Either with water/air pressure or plugging the main drains something of that nature.

Thanks for any help

If you are going to replace the liner, I would just ditch the MD. It is pretty much useless and will only cause problems like this.
