Inlet leak, Gaskets not forgiving enough

Hi All,
My return inlet is leaking by the gaskets and leaking down the outside of the pool.
Just did a liner and skimmer and new inlet.
I noticed when installing the inlet (under water) that the hole drilled in the side of the pool created a ripple
in the metal where the rubber gaskets sit.
I tried 2 rubber gaskets inside and 1 outside but it still leaks.
Do they make a gasket type material like plumbers putty that I can roll in my hands
then apply to inlet and re-install.
I see the epoxy type compound but concerned of its effects on the liner.

Thanks

Welcome to TFP! Sorry about the leak. My guess is that because of the ripple in the metal that the gasket cannot sit flush with the side. You may have to try to get the ripple out.

Can you post a pic. Upload to photobucket, then copy the IMG code and paste it here.

Can you also update your location and signature with pool and equipment info in settings?
