Noisy, leaky pump

Last year toward the end of the swimming season, we replaced our pump motor. We just opened the pool last week, and the motor seems to be noisier than it was last year and I noticed a small drip of water from the bottom. I would not think the bearings are bad already but perhaps water is leaking inside? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I will have husband check that. I am sure he did not replace any gasket last year . Thanks!
