    Polaris PB4-60 booster pump help

Hello, my existing booster pump crapped out on me. I have owned the pool for 2 years so im not quite sure how old it was, but it looked pretty weathered and just stopped working the other day. I purchased a replacement and installed it identically to the previous. The replacement is pretty loud and clunky sounding, runs hot after a minute and shuts off. When it is running the Polaris operates just fine. What could my issue be? Bad pump?

Did you replace just the motor or the entire pump?
Are you running the main pump when the booster pump is operating?
